FINDING THE CAREER THAT FITS YOUR PERSONALITY
If you’re unsure about your future after exams, you’re not alone, says career expert Sheridan Hughes. At 18, many people struggle to choose a career. Some end up in jobs they don’t enjoy just because they have the skills, adds her colleague Alexis Hallam. Career Analysts helps people of all ages find careers that match their strengths and interests through personality tests and psychologist interviews. Their goal is to guide individuals toward fulfilling career paths.
I turned to Career Analysts when I felt stuck in my career. I worked as a teacher and freelance journalist but wasn’t sure how to move forward. Since I didn’t qualify for student career services, I chose their career management package, designed for people changing careers. First, I completed personality assessments at home. Then, I took aptitude tests at their office, covering logical, verbal, mechanical, and spatial reasoning. I performed well in verbal skills but found mechanical and logical reasoning challenging.
After the tests, I met with Sheridan Hughes to discuss my results. She explained that careers like cartography or architecture wouldn’t suit me because of my lower scores in numerical and mechanical reasoning. Instead, she suggested I focus on writing. She recommended exploring medical or psychological writing, as well as creating e-learning content. These were exciting options I hadn’t considered before and aligned well with my strengths.
Career Analysts helped me better understand my skills and career options. The process gave me confidence in my abilities and new ideas for the future. With their guidance, I now have a clearer direction and feel more motivated to pursue a career that truly fits me.

Giải thích chi tiết
✅ Đáp án: The writer was advised to consider writing careers that match their skills. 🔎 Lí do: ✔️ "She explained that careers like cartography or architecture wouldn’t suit me because of my lower scores in numerical and mechanical reasoning" → Bà ấy giải thích rằng các nghề như bản đồ học hoặc kiến trúc không phù hợp với tác giả do điểm thi thấp về lý luận số và cơ học. Điều này khẳng định rằng những công việc này không phù hợp, nhưng không phải là tất cả ngành nghề khác đều loại trừ. ✔️ "She suggested I focus on writing... such as medical or psychological writing, as well as creating e-learning content" → Bà ấy gợi ý tập trung vào nghề viết lách, cụ thể là viết về lĩnh vực y tế hoặc tâm lý, cũng như sáng tạo nội dung học trực tuyến. ❌ The writer was advised to continue teaching and journalism: Nội dung không đề cập đến lời khuyên tiếp tục dạy học hay làm báo tự do, mà khuyến khích tập trung viết lách. Đây là lựa chọn gây nhầm lẫn. ❌ The writer was advised to focus only on architecture and cartography: Trái ngược với nội dung câu, tác giả được thông báo rằng các nghề này không phù hợp, vì vậy đáp án này sai.
